Generator G2, tuned up.

This is a signature model of Mr. Fumiaki Daito, an MC of official tournaments and a 5th place finisher in the 1A division at AP. For his challenge of the Over 40 division, our designers tuned the G2 generator to better suit him.

The base is the G2 generator. By eliminating the hollow structure and increasing the width, the weight is spread out across the width, resulting in higher maneuverability. The step angle prevents the string from tangling during regenerations, and other small touches have been added to the simple appearance.

The weight of the yo-yo is such that it always feels slightly responsive but does not interfere with operation, so that the yo-yo is not lost in the competition scene.

Acrobatic play, speed combos, and detailed tricks. The result is a yo-yo with even greater versatility.

The blasted rim may have a few speckles, but this is a product specification.

Manufacturer's Comment

Tuning.

In car customization culture, the word "custom" is originally used to describe modification, but in Japan, the word "tuning" is more commonly used.

I feel that "tuning" is a wonderful expression that is more in line with the user's preferences, as in "modifying to one's liking" or "tuning to one's taste."

The Generator FD is a "tuned" version of the Generator G2 specifically for "MC Fumin," AKA Fumiaki Daito. He used the Generator G2 in the Over 40 division of the 2023 National Championships, and his freestyle exuded the SUS brand image, down to his music choice.

He also participated in the World Championships that same year using the Generator G2, and we talked to Daito about the possibility of his plans for future competitions, which led us to this new model.

We widened the length to 48mm to meet his exact needs. To improve power and stability, the hollow structure was eliminated and the weight was placed on the rim and outer circumference. The shape was also adjusted to suit Daito's play style. Tuning may sound like something highly individualistic and sharp, but this time, as a result of advanced adjustments tailored to the player, the model shows a good balance that can be used for any kind of tricks.
