Description
BASECAMP - Sherpa
A very interesting concept! Sherpa is a hollow-bodied full metal yo-yo with a retro shape.
The Sherpa are an ethnic group from the Himalaya, famous for being mountain guides. The concept is similar to the Moonshine, with a retro body that conceals the very modern design and technology used to make it. The Sherpa wasn't made for technical string tricks that demand fast, long sleep times; it was made to give a feeling of nostalgia with a modern twist.
The seam joining the parts together is so thin that it looks like there's a full metal cap, but the entire hollow body is sealed. With an old school slender body, the Sherpa has a playfeel that makes it stand out in the Basecamp lineup. Even compared to yo-yos with the same 64g weight, the Sherpa is in a league of its own!
Official Discription
The Sherpa is designed for one reason - to be your companion wherever the adventure takes you. The slimline shape allows for easy storage in packs or pockets, the bearing is interchangeable with the included spare Center Trac for classic or modern play, and the full metal caps offer a comfortable feeling that few yoyos have ever accomplished. To keep the Sherpa modern, the caps feature a subtle inverted hub that make finger spins easier than ever to master.
