The Speed Beetle gets lit up like a christmas tree. The Pulse is a very popular model for performances.
The Speed Beetle gets an LED treatment, shining a beautiful blue, red and yellow when the yo-yo spins. The switch is activated by the yo-yo's centrifugal force, so it will only light up when spinning, and ensuring that you will draw attention with something as simple as a sleeper. Especially in the darkness, this makes a great performance model, perfect for club performances and the like. Team SHAQLER also used the Pulse for their winning AP performance in 2010. Aside from the slight added weight of the LEDs, this is the same as the regular Speed Beetle, giving you a high-performance looping yo-yo that is sure to turn heads.
The response pads are consumable goods, so be sure to get some extras for when you need them. Duncan was kind enough to include a replacement battery in the package as well, just unscrew the shell and replace when necessary. The batter is either a LR1120 or L1121 model.
This yo-yo isn't just good for individual practice, it is just as fun to watch someone play with. It's easy to share the fun of yo-yo with a model like this in hand, you just might want to become a yo-yo performer!
